Welcome to the Sunflower Circle of the St. Augustine Garden Club!
Organized in 2016 as the Sunflower Circle
An annual plant, Sunflowers have big, daisy-like flower faces of bright yellow petals (and occasionally red) and brown centers that ripen into heavy heads filled with seeds. While the vibrant, strong Sunflower is recognized worldwide for its beauty, it is also an important source of food. Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is one of the few crop species that originated in North America.
